Cancel Renewal

If you want to stop future renewals so that your use ends when the contract term expires, complete the procedure via “Cancel renewal” in the app.

For organizations billed through AWS Marketplace

“Cancel renewal” is not shown in an organization that subscribes through AWS Marketplace. You cancel from subscription management in AWS Marketplace. For details, see Subscribing Through AWS Marketplace.

1. Who can operate this. Only members with the organization’s Owner role can request renewal cancellation or undo it (to continue using the service). Members with the Billing role cannot perform this operation.

2. Scheduled end date preview. Once your renewal cancellation request is complete (entering a scheduled-cancellation state), a “Scheduled end date” is shown in the contract management area, letting you check in advance whether your use will end at the current term’s expiration or be pushed to the next term because the deadline was missed.

3. Request deadline and cancellation timing by contract type. Submit your renewal cancellation request by the “Cancellation deadline” shown in your contract status on screen. For an annual contract this is a plain calendar date (the last day of the month before your contract ends); for a monthly contract, it is the day before the last business day of the month your contract ends (weekends and public holidays are excluded when determining the last business day).

   A note on annual contracts (12-month commitment): for an annual contract, the deadline is the last day of the month before your contract ends (about 1 month before). If you miss the deadline, the next year is automatically renewed, and mid-term cancellation is not possible, so please plan accordingly.

4. Undoing renewal cancellation (continuing to use the service). If you decide you want to continue your contract after seeing the “Scheduled end date” (see item 2), you can undo the cancellation and continue using the service (auto-renewal resumes) at any time before your term expires, via the “Undo renewal cancellation” button in the app.

5. Using the service after canceling renewal. Even after completing the renewal cancellation procedure, you can continue to use every feature as usual, without restriction, until your remaining contract term expires.
